Rechartering 2013-14

Written by Kirk Bateman (Committee Chair) on November 14th, 2013

It’s that time of year when we recharter with Boy Scouts of America (BSA) for 2014 and collect the pack fee for September 2013 to August 2014. Rechartering is the process by which each scout or adult leader is registered with the BSA for the coming year. Each scout and adult leader must be registered to be credited with his activities (e.g., rank advancements, belt loops, pins).

Click here to retrieve a copy of the rechartering materials you will need to complete. The various fees and the steps you need to take to assist in the pack recharter are included, as well as verification forms for Cub Scouts and for adult leaders. Please complete the appropriate form(s) and return them to me at the November 22 pack meeting. If you aren’t able to attend the November pack meeting, please make arrangements to get the completed materials to me no later than November 22. The deadline is short, so, without exception, I must have these in hand by the end of the day on the 22nd.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me ( if you have any questions.

If you have friends and family out of town, please set up an account for online popcorn sales. This is a great way to increase our fundraising effort. Each scout will get credit for their online sales. Julie has provided a one-page “Online Popcorn Sales Guide” to walk you through the process of setting up an account. Download it here:  Pack 883 Online Popcorn Sales Guide -2013

Popcorn Fundraiser – Show-and-Sell

Written by Kirk Bateman (Committee Chair) on October 3rd, 2013

Hello Pack 883. At our pack meeting last week, Julie Davies, our Popcorn Kernel, talked about the upcoming show-and-sell opportunities. Below is the link to the electronic sign-up for these events. This is a great opportunity for your scout to be credited with some popcorn sales. My son and I participated in a show-and-sell a couple of years ago and had a lot of fun doing so. Simply follow the link and sign up for the period when you’d like to help.

Please contact Julie Davies at if you have any questions.
