Fore! Pack 883 Golf Outing

Who’s up for some golf?!?  We’ve added an additional Summertime Pack Activity for the Cub Scouts to earn their Golf belt loop and pin.

HOW: You MUST sign-up by August 15th – NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!   Because of the coordination of this event, only families that have RSVP’d can participate.  RSVP to:  http://www.bsapack883.com/rsvp/

WHAT: The children will have an opportunity to learn some basics about golf, practice hitting some balls on the driving range and then playing a round of miniature golf.

COST: It’s $8 per child (for the golf balls and miniature golf)

Rock the Ridge! Baltimore Area Council Camporee – October 5-7, 2012

Here are just a few of the many Programs being offered at the Camporee.

  • STEM! Science, Technology, Engineering and Math programs
    • Cub programs to include Rockets, Rope Bridge, Signaling and more!
    • Boy Scout/Venturing programs to include blasting off rockets, robotics, geology, forestry and lots more!
    • All Scouts who have earned either STEM NOVA or SuperNOVA award will be publicly recognized during the Saturday evening show
  • ScoutStrong/PALA award
    • Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger will present PALA award to all who have completed the requirements
    • Brick Bodies will lead fitness programs throughout the day
    • Obstacle courses for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts will be available
    • COPE games will be available for Boy Scouts & Venturers
  • Indian Village
    • Programs to include:
      • Cooking
      • Arrow-making
      • Beading
    • Several Teepees will be set up
  • Baltimore County Police Display
    • Tactical units, K-9 and lots more
  • Maryland Defense Force Display
    • In addition to providing medical service, they will have opportunities for Scouts of all ages to learn about what they do
  • National Guard
    • Climbing Wall!
    • Halo Jump!
    • Obstacle Course!
  • Scouting Museum – this will be awesome!
  • Lots of outside vendors
  • Saturday evening show to include Fireworks and Laser Show by Image Engineering, and a rock concert with School of Rock opening for Eyeshine. It’s going to be an unforgettable evening.
