The last day for a Cub Scout to earn advancements for their current rank is May 13 – den leaders are required to report their final advancements for the year on May 14, and the boys will be advanced in PackMaster shortly thereafter.
As of May 14, Cub Scouts cannot earn any more advancements at the current level (rank badge, arrow points, etc.). Boys need to complete any remaining requirements for their rank advancement (Tiger Cub, Wolf, and Bear) and for their arrow points (for Wolf and Bear) by this deadline – May 13.
The only exceptions to this are:
o Members of the Web I Den – who will be able to earn Webelos advancements in their Web II year
o Belt loops and other advancement that is not tied to rank
The good news: On May 14, Cub Scouts are eligible to start working on advancements at the next grade level!
We do not have any “wiggle room” for boys who complete the requirements after May 13.
We don’t want the boys to be disappointed if their advancement is not recognized. Please make sure everyone adheres to the May 13 completion deadline.
Yours in Scouting,
Marc
