What is POW WOW?
It’s a full day of fun filled hands on learning opportunities for every level of Cub Scout leadership. Pow Wow is an annual Council training event featuring ideas of supplement Den, Pack & summertime activities. Add pizzazz to outdoor fun & camping trips while gathering new ideas for games, crafts, skills and much, much more! Choose from a variety of classes that best suit your individual needs. While meeting other leaders from across our Council, you’ll also have the opportunity to meet leaders from other councils attending this event.
Who Should Attend?
Are you a potential leader, a newly registered leader or an experienced leader, a parent or guardian who wants to better understanding of the Cub Scout program? Are you a Boy Scout who would like to be a Den Chief or perhaps you’ve already been approached by your Scoutmaster to work with a Den and want to enhance your knowledge and skills? If you’ve answered “Yes” to any of these questions, Pow Wow is the event you don’t want to miss! It’s a daylong learning experience you won’t forget!
Registration Information
Classes will fill up quickly, so register early when it opens! Lunch is included in your registration fee along with 6 classes, 2009 patch, tote bag, pen & CD
Den Chief Training
Scouts signing up for this class MUST be the rank of 1st Class or above. Registration Fee includes: Den Chief Handbook, lunch, patch & pen. If there are any specific dietary requirements; it is recommended that you bring your lunch from home.

Belt Loop Day – October 18, 2009

Belt Loop Day 2009
Who: All Cub Scouts in Carroll District
Where: Langdon Burns Park, Westminster (between the Ag Center and Carroll Hospital Center)
When: Sunday, October 18, 1 pm – 5 pm
What: Belt Loop Day is a FUN and EXCITING event where all Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, and Webelos Scouts get the opportunity to learn new skills, have fun, and earn some belt loops. We’ll be doing Marbles, Fishing, Chess, and more!!! You can earn four belt loops in one afternoon!
Cost: FREE!!!
Pre-Registration is requested by Monday, October 5 to ensure we have enough supplies. To pre-register or for more info, please contact Noel-Marie Taylor at belt_loop_day@bsacarroll.org. Walk-ins are welcome; however, registration would be very much appreciated!

Based upon the Pack Committee Meeting last night, the Pack-level prizes for our annual Popcorn Sale have been updated:
First Place Seller will earn a Nintendo DSi game system (or a Walmart gift card of equivalent value) and a Fire Engine Ride to the December Pack Meeting
Second Place Seller will earn a crisp, new $50 bill

It is time to kick off our Restaurant Fundraisers this year! Our first fundraiser is on Tuesday, September 22nd.
It’s simple: order Domino’s pizza for dinner on the 22nd, give the driver the attached flyer, and enjoy a night off from cooking.
Not only will Pack 883 earn 15% of the sales, but the den that raises the most money will win a free PIZZA PARTY!
